A large-scale exhibition of original artwork by illustrator Hiroshi Nagai, "Penguin's Vacation Restaurant," will be held at Restaurant Bar CAY in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo, from May 18 to July 4. Nagai is a renowned illustrator known for his work on various record jackets since the 1980s, including Eiichi Ohtaki's iconic album "A LONG VACATION." In addition to his illustrations, he also works as a DJ at clubs and events. The exhibition will feature original artwork from his personal collection, as well as approximately 80 record jackets he has worked on. The exhibition will cover a wide range of works, from soul compilations and rare Eiichi Ohtaki jackets to those of recent artists like Junk Fujiyama and Ikkubal. In addition to an interview with Nagai, the exhibition will also feature a catalog featuring columns such as "One of Hiroshi Nagai's Jacket Works," selected by model Yuka Mizuhara and others. Additionally, at the venue, Restaurant Bar CAY, you can enjoy a special menu tailored to the exhibition while background music by Nagai Hiroshi, one of Japan's leading soul music collectors, and other creators with a keen sense of humor plays in the background.

Other related events include DJ events and live performances. On May 18th, from 7pm, there will be an "Opening DJ Night," and on May 20th, there will be an "Omar LIVE" performance by UK soul singer Omar, with the first part running from 7pm to 10pm. On May 22nd, from 7:30pm, there will be a "Gallery meets Hiroshi Nagai."
