Gucci has launched "Gucci DIY (Do It Yourself)," a customization service for items including the Dionysus handbag. The service launched on May 25th at the flagship store on Via Montenapoleone in Milan. The service will be rolled out to Gucci stores in major cities around the world, and will expand to include the Ace sneaker and Princetown shoe, as well as women's and men's wear, and the men's made-to-order program. The Dionysus program, featuring a striking double tiger head closure, offers embroidery of motifs iconic to the brand's collections, including butterfly, lizard, bee, dragonfly, snake, rose, and peony. Customers can also choose their favorite trim materials from leather, crocodile, python, and suede. Customers can choose from 18 colors, and the moon leather and crocodile leather can be combined to create stripes from 12 colors. The herbarium print cotton lining is available in four colors, and customers can also choose the color of the hardware. The shoulder strap features Gucci's iconic Web stripe and is available in two colors: blue-red-blue or green-red-green.
In addition, customers can also add initials, which can be decorated with crystals. Two sizes are available: large and medium.
