Isetan Shinjuku will be holding the event "Chalet Haute - Furniture designed by great architects and designers Charlotte Perriand and Josée Zanine Caldas" from August 25th to September 5th.
This event, which will be held in Japan in collaboration with two galleries, "ATELIER GALLERY" and "Objet d' art," which display vintage modern furniture from around the world, is an exhibition themed around "Chalet Haute (luxurious mountain huts)," featuring a unique space coordination and display/sale of furniture pieces designed or selected by French interior designer and architect Charlotte Perriand for the "Les Arcs" project, which she was involved in for 20 years starting in 1967, as well as furniture pieces by leading Brazilian designer José Zanine Caldas.

Highlights of the event
Charlotte Perriand has been involved in this major development project for the "Les Arcs" resort facility, which has 425 square kilometers of slopes facing Mont Blanc in the Savoie region of France, for 20 years. The event will also feature an installation that recreates a small room from "Les Arcs 1800," located in the snowy mountains and where nature, architecture, and furniture are in harmony. Customers will be able to see an inspiring exhibition that will enrich their perspective on living environments and furniture.
In addition to works by Charlotte Perriand and Josée Zanine Caldas, we will also be selling a lineup of French mid-century and Brazilian mid-century pieces, which are rarely introduced in Japan, including furniture by Pierre Chapeau, Jean Prouvé, Sergio Rodriguez and Oscar Niemeyer.
