With vinyl records currently booming, the "ME AND MY RECORDS Seminar," a free seminar exclusively for women experiencing vinyl for the first time, will be held on August 28th in the lounge and hall of Red Bull Studios Tokyo in Shibuya, Tokyo. The seminar's organizer, "OTAI RECORD," has received a variety of questions: "I want a record player, but what do I need?" "How should I store my records?" "The record I bought is warped, what should I do?" To address these questions, this event is designed for people who have never heard or handled a record, as well as those new to vinyl, to experience the sound of vinyl records, play a record, and learn about how vinyl records work and how to maintain them. The seminar will feature two vinyl record experts: Yosuke, the administrator of "OTAI RECORD," and Yoshinori Kobayashi of Toyo Kasei. In addition, using ION AUDIO's "Archive LP" and analog records as teaching materials, web designer and techno DJ Kanae Togawa will also be joining the event as a "record girl." On the day, rice balls and hand-rolled snacks by "BROWN SALT" will also be available. The event is limited to 60 people and applications will close once capacity is reached.
