From September 9th to December 27th, Sumida Aquarium, located within Tokyo Skytree Town, will host the "Mika Ninagawa x Sumida Aquarium Jellyfish Kaleidoscope Tunnel," an exhibition produced by photographer Mika Ninagawa. The project features approximately 5,000 mirrors covering the walls and ceiling of the "Jellyfish Kaleidoscope Tunnel." New works photographed and created by Mika Ninagawa for this event will be projected onto the walls and eight jellyfish tanks within the tunnel. The projections are divided into two versions: daytime and nighttime. During the daytime, photos and videos of tropical flowers, the ocean, and the sky are displayed, while at night, images of Tokyo's nightscape, expressways, Tokyo Skytree, Shibuya Scramble Crossing, and more are projected. Walking through the tunnel, whose appearance constantly changes with the floating jellyfish, lighting, and Mika Ninagawa's artwork, visitors will feel as if they are drifting through the ocean. In addition, original "Mika Ninagawa x Sumida Aquarium" annual passes will be on sale only during the event period. Also, starting from September 11th, a women-only program for adults called "Fluffy Jellyfish" will be held every Friday night, where you can observe floating jellyfish.
