Alexander Wang released a limited-edition lounge collection in collaboration with Poltrona Frau on August 14th. It will be available at the Alexander Wang Aoyama store. The collection, which was first released in the US in February, is now on display and available for pre-order in Japan starting today, August 14th, at the Aoyama store. The collection, which combines Poltrona Frau's luxurious, high-quality craftsmanship and design with Alexander Wang's sophisticated and relaxed aesthetic, consists of three types of lounge chairs (priced at ¥750,000) crafted from different materials and a cabinet (priced at ¥1.5 million). The lounge chairs, characterized by their rounded, weighty shape, are inspired by bean bags. The covers are made from Poltrona Frau's finest Pelle Frau Soul, available in two colors: matte black leather and shearling. Meanwhile, the cabinet, which can be used as both a minibar or a side table, is crafted from matte black sharkskin. In addition to polished steel edging and custom hinges, the chair is fitted with small steel wheels for easy mobility. It also includes shelves for storing various sized glasses, bottles, cocktail accessories, and more.

Regarding the collaboration, Alexander Wang said, "I've always loved the image of young people lounging around on bean bags in underground hangouts, and I've often used this idea. This time, I wanted to challenge myself to reinterpret this youthful spirit with luxurious materials and quality. Poltrona Frau is a traditional brand, and their level of craftsmanship is top-notch. Collaborating with them allowed me to create something that I'm truly excited about."
