Lexus is making a triumphant return to INTERSECT BY LEXUS - TOKYO (4-21-26 Minami-Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo) in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo, where it is exhibiting a portion of its installation "LEXUS - A JOURNEY OF THE SENSES," which was exhibited at Milan Design Week 2015, until August 28th.
"LEXUS - A JOURNEY OF THE SENSES," a collaboration between world-renowned space designer Philippe Nigro and internationally acclaimed chef Hajime Yoneda, is an experiential installation themed around the "senses," the core of Lexus design. It won the Best Entertaining Award at the official Milano Design Award Competition, the first time an automaker has won such an award.
This time, the exhibit features "RAIN," a section of "LEXUS - A JOURNEY OF THE SENSES" that allows visitors to experience the scenery of a rainy day drive through the five senses. The particles of light falling from the ceiling and the sound of rain create the feeling of being rained on, and by placing a sparkling candy that represents a raindrop in your mouth, you can feel the sound of the rain reverberating throughout your body.
