An exhibition of original artwork by artist Sato Midori will be held from August 26th to September 15th in the promotion space on the first floor of Isetan Salone and other locations.

Based in Nagoya, Sato Midori is known for her work on the cover of Akutagawa Prize-winning author Nakamura Fumino's novel "Last Winter, Parting with You," as well as illustrations for Harada Maha's short story published in Shiseido's corporate culture magazine, "Hanatsubaki." She won the Ohara Museum of Art Award at the VOCA Exhibition 2013, and has exhibited her work at the Ohara Museum of Art, Opera City Art Gallery, Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum, and other venues.

All of the artworks on display at Isetan Salone this time are original, featuring a variety of autumnal pieces with shoes as their main motif.

Regarding this exhibition, Sato Midori commented, "I love going out into the city and visiting shops and boutiques, as it is just as stimulating as going to an art gallery or museum. In particular, when it is still hot in the summer, the moment when you see the inside of a shop filled with chic autumn outfits feels just as special as seeing a spring collection at any other time of the year. With these things in mind, I have been creating new autumn-colored pieces with shoes as the main motif."
