From September 18th to October 3rd, Yuzik Asagaya, a cinema in Suginami Ward, Tokyo, will be hosting a special feature on Wes Anderson, director of "The Grand Budapest Hotel," which won the Silver Bear (Jury Grand Prix) at the Berlin International Film Festival.

Wes Anderson began collaborating with actor Owen Wilson while attending the University of Texas. His short film "Bottle Rocket" caught the attention of director James L. Brooks, and he made his feature film debut with the theatrical remake, "Anthony's Happy Motel."

He has previously directed and written films such as "The Royal Tenenbaums," which was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay, and "The Life Aquatic," starring Bill Murray. His 2014 film, "The Grand Budapest Hotel," won the Silver Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival.

This special screening will feature two films directed by Wes Anderson: "Fantastic Mr. Fox" and "Moonrise Kingdom." The first, "Fantastic Mr. Fox," is a stop-motion animated film based on a children's book by Roald Dahl, who is also known as the author of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." The protagonist, Mr. Fox, stops stealing for the sake of his wife and children, but when he moves near three malicious farm owners, his wild instincts are awakened again and he starts stealing again. The humans become angry when their prey is stolen, and a war between humans and animals begins...and so the story unfolds.

The second film is the adorable "Moonrise Kingdom," which follows the escapades of a 12-year-old boy and girl who run away together. Sam, a 12-year-old boy living on a New England island, runs away from Boy Scout camp with Susie, the girl he fell in love with a year ago, and heads to a secret place called "Moonrise Kingdom." But as the sheriff, social worker, Susie's parents, and everyone else searches for them, the peaceful village is suddenly engulfed in storms and fires.

With each new film, the adorable fashion and accessories that appear in Wes Anderson's films attract a lot of attention, so take another look at the worldview of his works.

The "Wes Anderson Director Special" will be held at Yujik Asagaya from September 19th to October 3rd.
