Furla's art charity project: One-of-a-kind bags in collaboration with Laura, Nicolai Bergmann, and others! Donations will enable limited free admission to the Hara Museum of Contemporary Art.

Oct 4, 2016

Ahead of its 90th anniversary next year, FURLA is launching a charity project to support art through collaborations with celebrities.

FURLA has had a strong connection with art since its founding, as evidenced by its slogan "combining art and fashion." For this charity project, FURLA will donate proceeds from sales of original bags created in collaboration with 10 celebrities to the Hara Museum of Contemporary Art, and the museum will open to the public free of charge for a limited time during "FURLA FREE DAY."
The bag that forms the basis of this collaboration is the iconic "METROPOLIS" bag. Ten celebrities have customized the model, featuring interchangeable flaps. The participants include artist Ayumi Hamasaki, entertainers Haruna Kojima, Rola, and Mari Natsuki, actress Maki Tamaru, model Emi Suzuki, flower artist Nicolai Bergmann, fashion director Daichi Miura, fashion illustrator Jean-Philippe Delorme, and artist Mai Miyake. The completed bags will be open to public bidders in a silent auction held on the Furla official website from October 4th to 23rd. During this period, the bags will also be on display at the Ginza store.
