The long-established German shoe brand, KENNEL & SCHMENGER, will open a flagship store in Jingumae, Tokyo, on Thursday, February 14th. In addition to its full-line collection, the store will also feature limited-edition apparel, bags, and belts.
The 68.93-square-meter store will be decorated similarly to its Berlin store. The fixtures will be made from recycled materials from century-old houses in Germany, Austria, and other regions, with rich, rich wood imported from Germany.
KENNEL & SCHMENGER was founded in 1918 in Pirmasens, a German shoe-making region. Always aware that shoes are the most important element of human mobility, the brand has continued to create high-quality shoes that never compromise on wearer comfort. Since its founding, the brand has focused on flattering women's style by creating trendy designs that reflect the mood of the times.
In Japan, Kennel & Schmenger Japan Co., Ltd. was established in October 2009. The first domestic directly managed store opened in October 2010 at the Osaka Hotel New Otani (scheduled to close when the Omotesando store opens). Other locations include Isetan Shinjuku, JR Kyoto Isetan, JR Osaka Mitsukoshi Isetan, Mitsukoshi Ginza, and Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi.
