Shu Uemura has released its 2016 holiday collection, "COSMIC BLOSSOM," in collaboration with Takashi Murakami. The first of the 25 items will be released on November 1st, and the second on November 16th. The first item, the "Christmas Palette Kit" (8,300 yen), is a Christmas gift set packed in an original mini shoulder bag with an eye and cheek palette inspired by the infinite stars blooming in the night sky, a drawing pencil that perfectly complements the palette, and a sample size of the popular "A/O+P.M. Clear Youth Radiant Cleansing Oil." There are two versions of this gift set, with the eye and cheek palette and drawing pencil only being different colors. The "Cosmic Cool" eye and cheek palette includes eyeshadows in cosmic blue, purple gray, lavender, gray, midnight navy, deep gold, and silver, as well as pink blush. It comes with a black "Drawing Pencil." Meanwhile, the "Cosmic Kawaii" palette features eyeshadows in cosmic red, orange, yellow gold, mauve purple, midnight purple, powder blue, and rose pink, as well as coral blush. The "Drawing Pencil" is available in purple and black. Also available is the popular "Christmas Foundation Kit" (starting at 8,400 yen), which can be customized with your favorite base makeup items. The flat pouch, decorated with "Murakami Flower," contains a mini version of the popular glossy and radiant liquid lipstick "Lacque Supria" and a trial size of the popular "A/O+P.M. Clear Youth Radiant Cleansing Oil." The eligible combination products are foundation + face category products (primer, foundation case, etc.) priced at 8,400 yen or more.
In addition, the Christmas-only makeup base packaging "Stage Performer Block: Booster" (4,500 yen) will be available in limited edition colors: nude natural beige and fresh pink with a subtle flush. Other products available include the jet-black compact case "Bloom Glow Compact Case" (1,000 yen) decorated with luxurious flowers, and the "Blanc Chroma Blossom in Cushion Foundation Compact Case" (1,300 yen), a compact case exclusively for the "Blanc Chroma Brightening UV Cushion Foundation (refill)." On November 16th, the store will release the "Blossom Nova Eye Trio" (4,000 yen), a set of three carefully selected eyeshadow colors that will give you eye makeup that sparkles like the night sky; the "Bloom Your Way Custom Case" (700 yen), a "Custom Case II" that can hold two colors of eyeshadow or one color of blush and features a cute flower print; and a limited edition design of the "Drawing Pencil" (2,400 yen), a long-lasting waterproof pencil eyeliner that glides on smoothly and allows you to draw anything from sharp lines to natural finishes. Other products include "Rouge Unlimited Sheer Shine" (3,200 yen), which creates a sheer, pure glow around the lips; "Rouge Unlimited" (3,200 yen), a lip product that combines vibrant color with lip care benefits, in limited-edition packaging; and "Dipsy Hydration Lip Balm" (2,000 yen), which uses protective ingredients including honey and macadamia nut oil to leave lips feeling plump. "A/O+P.M. Clear Youth Radiant Cleansing Oil" (450ml 9,600 yen, 150ml 3,700 yen) will also be available in limited-edition Christmas packaging. Additionally, curlers (2,000 yen) and brush sets (6,500 yen) will also be available in limited-edition Christmas packaging, and a makeup box (20,000 yen) featuring a pop flower motif will also be available in limited quantities and at select stores.
In addition, to commemorate the release of the collection, a one-day special event with the theme of "Flower Wonderland" will be held at Omotesando Hills Space O from 7:30pm to 9pm on October 28th. On the day, there will be an exhibition of makeup and collections by atelier artists from around the world, as well as fun game content. Admission is free.
