Barneys Japan Co., Ltd. will open its first-ever concept store in Japan, "Barneys New York Seibu Shibuya Store," in Shibuya on Friday, August 27th. The store will occupy approximately 264 square meters (approximately 80 tsubo) on the first floor of Building B of Seibu Shibuya Store, which is operated by Sogo & Seibu Co., Ltd., and will primarily sell apparel and accessories from high-end imported brands selected by Barneys New York.

Barneys New York Seibu Shibuya will cater to a fashion-conscious customer base living in the neighborhood, and through its unique displays, warm customer service, and luxurious and sophisticated selection of products carefully selected with a unique taste, the store hopes to allow customers to experience the unique world of Barneys New York and create as many fans as possible.


■Product Composition
The store offers a specialized lineup with a focus on merchandise selection, ranging from apparel to bags, shoes, and accessories for men, and jewelry, leather goods, bags, and apothecary items for women. Seibu Shibuya will offer the latest brands, sourced early from around the world.


■Store Design
Like the Roppongi store, the design is under the supervision of creative director Katsuhiko Taniguchi. The store is compact, but makes use of a ceiling height of approximately 4m to create a space that condenses the essence of Barneys New York. The floors and walls are decorated with mosaic art, which is symbolic of Barneys New York, and as a new sustainable initiative, the store will also feature fixtures made from "Stella Pop," an upcycled building material made from recycled fabric scraps generated during clothing production and unwanted clothing.市道を経由
