Diptyque will release its holiday collection on October 29th. The collection features three new fragrance candles (70g/4,400 yen each, 190g/7,900 yen each) inspired by the winter tale "A Night at Diptyque." "A Night at Diptyque" begins one winter night when a snowstorm blankets the streets of Paris, preventing Henri from returning home to his family who are having a Christmas party. At the urging of the paper doll, Henri lights matches to the purple, red, and green candles, and a scene of an orchestra and countless emeralds unfolds before his eyes. The purple candle "UN ENCENS ETOILE," which evokes the sound of an orchestra of fairies, envelops the sparkling, spicy scent of elemi and clove with the mysterious, swirling scent of encens and rich notes of vanilla. The red candle "EPICES ST DELICES," which depicts chefs busily preparing a cake, adds the warm notes of pain d'ébiscuits with the sweet scent of honey and delicious accents of star anise. The green candle "LE ROI SAPIN," shimmering with countless emeralds, combines the scent of a lush pine forest with delicate notes of pine resin and woody tones of cedar and patchouli.
