Louis Vuitton held a preview on July 6th to celebrate the opening of its limited-time men's store, "Temporary Residency."
"Temporary Residency" is part of a series of men's fashion events being held globally under the title "Louis Vuitton: Walk in the Park," and marks the brand's first in Japan, following events at Pont Neuf (Paris) and Soho (New York).
The space is unified in rainbow colors reminiscent of the set for Virgil Abloh's Spring/Summer 2019 collection, which marked his debut as Louis Vuitton Men's Artistic Director, and is full of playful touches, such as a wall design featuring layers of Louis Vuitton shoe packaging, fully expressing the world of Louis Vuitton Men's. The event, which was held under infection prevention measures, was attended by Nissy, Sano Reo (GENERATIONS from EXILE TRIBE), SWAY (DOBERMAN INFINITY/Gekidan EXILE), Ohira Shuzo, Usa Takuma, VERDY, Yoshiaki and others, and expressed the mutual connection that exists between designer and community, which is unique to a project rooted in the inclusive values at the heart of Virgil Abloh's work.
