A beach house called "Cafe de Rope' La Mer" will open for a limited time from July 5th to August 31st on Isshiki Beach in Hayama, Kanagawa Prefecture.
Cafe de Rope' La Mer is a beach house redesign of "Cafe de Rope," a popular open-air cafe that was popular in the 1970s in Harajuku and Omotesando as a pioneer of open-air cafes. This year marks the fifth time since its revival in 2009.
While retaining the white building exterior that has already become a symbol of Isshiki Beach, the interior has been redesigned with high ceilings to create an open, comfortable space. Four areas are available: a table area, a bar area, a lounge area, and a relaxation area, allowing you to spend your time as you please.
The food menu features spicy dishes made with Hayama vegetables that will help you forget the summer heat. The signature dish is the "Hainanese Rice Plate." Guests can freely season their steamed chicken with three sauces: lemon ginger, chili, and Chinese soy sauce, and enjoy it with rice and vegetables. The extensive lineup also includes new dishes that are popular overseas each year.
The events held in-store are also a popular feature. This year, a workshop will be held in collaboration with Brighton studio, a popular yoga studio in Daikanyama. Popular instructors such as Yuri Ito and MAMI will be invited, allowing guests to experience yoga with the ocean in front of them. There will also be music events featuring various artists.
Original goods featuring the cafe's logo, such as tote bags and miscellaneous goods, will be on sale during the event.
