On May 22nd, GLOBAL WORK, a brand developed by Point, held the "GLOBAL WORK 20TH ANNIVERSARY THE LAUNCH EVENT 2014" event to celebrate the brand's 20th anniversary at Billboard Live Tokyo in Roppongi. Aiming to make a leap as a global brand, GLOBAL WORK launched the "Luck, Luck, Luck. Global Citizen Campaign" under the slogan "THE WORLD FASHION MART." Takao Osawa and Masami Nagasawa, actors active around the world, have been appointed brand partners, and a new TV commercial featuring the duo, "Global Citizen," began airing nationwide on April 25th. The commercial features Osawa and Nagasawa visiting "Global Citizens" who are pursuing their dreams and working overseas, depicting their daily lives in a documentary style. In the background plays a cover of Ken Hirai's "Yatsura no Ashioto no Ballad," an original song for this campaign. This time, Osawa follows bass fisherman Kazuki Kitajima to Orlando, USA, while Nagasawa follows ballet dancer Kaori Fukui to Miami. Osawa and Nagasawa appeared together at the event and shared behind-the-scenes stories. Osawa, who hadn't caught anything since elementary school, said, "I didn't catch anything, but Kitajima was like a boy, expressing happiness with his whole body. I had such a fun time, it felt like I was back in my childhood." Nagasawa added, "Being a global citizen of the same age gave me so much courage. I was also happy that we were able to encourage each other." When asked about future global activities related to the campaign, Osawa said, "I want to experience as many things as I can while I'm alive, so I want to travel the world and enrich my life." Nagasawa said, "I believe the Global Work campaign will give me more opportunities to meet global citizens in the future, so I hope to gain courage and energy from them and keep working hard without forgetting my original intentions." A fashion show was also held at the event, showcasing a relaxed spring/summer look typical of Global Work, featuring shorts and cropped pants for both men and women.
