Experience the food, culture, and culture of Arab countries with all five senses! Japan's largest "Arabian Festival" will be held for the first time in Yoyogi Park

Aug 13, 2016

Japan's first MENA-themed Arabian Festival, one of the largest in the country, will be held on September 10th and 11th at the Yoyogi Park Event Plaza in Yoyogi, Tokyo.
The festival aims to introduce the fashion, food, products, and culture of diverse and fascinating countries such as Dubai, one of the world's leading financial cities, Egypt, boasting a mysterious ancient civilization, and Morocco, a popular travel destination, and to expose visitors to the true charm of lesser-known Arab countries. Approximately 50 stalls featuring Arab cuisine will be set up at the venue, offering dishes such as the Egyptian national dish "koshari," Saudi Arabia's signature meat dish "kapsa," and the healthy Middle Eastern food "falafal."
There will also be a flea market and merchandise selling traditional Arab goods. Items on offer include halal cosmetics, known for their organic quality, superfoods that are a source of energy, and henna body paint, a traditional art form used for weddings and funerals. In addition, there will be stage events with over 100 performers during the event. Events include high-quality belly dance shows by professional belly dancers and female university student belly dancers from around the country, a music concert using traditional Arab instruments, and a modest fashion show that combines traditional Arab costumes with Japanese traditional elements. In addition, on September 10th, a real camel will make an appearance, and you can take commemorative photos with it.
