A huge, three-dimensional green space that blends in with nature. The design of a luxury tower apartment building in Singapore's prime location, Orchard, has been unveiled.

Jun 18, 2021
London-based architects and researchers PLP Architecture have unveiled the design for the luxury tower condominium, Park Nova. The building is located in Orchard, a prime location in Singapore, renowned as the "Garden City" for its greening initiatives incorporated into its urban planning. Based on key concepts of "biophilia" and "wellness," the design aims to realize a sustainable lifestyle in harmony with the surrounding environment.

A Giant Vertical Garden Covering the Entire Building
Park Nova's most distinctive feature is the enormous three-dimensional green space that covers the entire 21-story tower. The design not only complements the town's historical context and lush greenery of the orchard area, but also protects the building, which can accommodate up to 54 homes, from noise and air pollution. Each residence, consisting of two to five rooms, features expansive floor-to-ceiling windows that seamlessly connect the indoors and outdoors, allowing natural light to flow in while maintaining privacy through greenery.

Key concepts include "biophilia" (love of life) and "wellness."
These homes, in harmony with nature, are also equipped with amenities that support residents' natural and active lifestyles. They are equipped with numerous well-being-conscious amenities, including a meditation space, gym, and sky terrace. The environmentally friendly building design is on track to receive Gold certification from Singapore's Green Mark, the country's environmental building assessment system.
