Model Toni Garrn attended the Empire State Building lighting ceremony, held in New York on October 9th (local time), to commemorate International Day of the Girl. The event was part of a global campaign by Plan International, an NGO that provides educational and other support to girls from disadvantaged backgrounds around the world. Toni, along with Dorota Keverian of Plan International USA, flipped the switch to illuminate the Empire State Building in pink. Toni posted a selfie taken on the 103rd floor of the building on Instagram. "A bit of a serious day. It was wonderful. Thank you to Plan International for letting me be a part of the start of the International Day of the Girl weekend in such an amazing place," she wrote, along with a short video of her speech at the event.
