Pierre Marcolini's Valentine's Day is themed around four-leaf clovers

Oct 22, 2015

Pierre Marcolini held a launch event for its 2016 Valentine's Day and White Day products at the Belgian Embassy. Marcolini also visited Japan to unveil his new products.

The theme for 2016 was "Four-Leaf Clover." The four-leaf clover, a symbol of happiness, was used as the motif, with the hope that it would bring everyone luck and happiness.

The featured item this time was a matcha chocolate decorated in green, the color of the clover motif. Last year, Marcolini participated in his first tea ceremony. The experience reaffirmed his appreciation for the profound depth of Japanese culture, and the inspiration he gained there led him to create his new "chocolate using matcha."

The new products to be released include "Cool Matcha," a heart-shaped white chocolate filled with matcha white ganache, "Pale Fan Matcha," a square-shaped matcha white chocolate filled with sesame paste, "Tablet Matcha," a tablet chocolate set with a limited edition pouch, and "Brussels Treasure Cacao Nama Chocolate," which has matcha kneaded into white chocolate.

Products for Valentine's Day and White Day are scheduled to be released from mid-January 2016.
