In 2017, Louis Vuitton introduced Vivienne, a mascot inspired by the Maison's heritage and iconic Monogram Flower.

Vivienne continues her exciting journey through Louis Vuitton's diverse range of products, from objets d'art and cuddly toys to bag charms, watches and fine jewelry. Now, she descends into a wonderland of women's high jewelry in the new Tambour Spin Time Air Vivienne timepiece.

The hour hand of this innovative watch is served by 12 rotating "miniature Viviennes," playfully and charmingly telling the hours. Every 60 minutes, two adjacent Vivienne watches instantly rotate on their axes. At the end of each hour, one Vivienne watches turns forward to signify the passing of the baton to the next, while the next Vivienne watches reveal their profile, signaling the start of a new hour. This groundbreaking and unique timekeeping concept utilizes an exclusive, patented watch mechanism. Originating from a unique automatic movement developed by the Maison's watchmaking atelier, La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton, in 2009, and constantly refined by highly skilled master watchmakers, the Caliber LV89—a movement of astonishing refinement and almost poetic elegance—is housed in the center of the case, sandwiched between two sapphire crystals, and provides a 32-hour power reserve.

Two Monogram flowers, one rounded and the other sharp, are superimposed on the dial. Both are crafted from pink gold, snow-set with diamonds, and have a black or red lacquered base. Twelve mascots – crafted from pink gold or rich, hand-applied black or ruby-red lacquer – "float" between the calibre and the case. The reverses and oscillating weights of the 12 "Vivienne" watches are visible through the transparent caseback. The stage for this endless waltz of time is the 42.5mm pink gold case. The Tambour's distinctive lugs are studded with diamonds. A deep black or cherry red alligator strap enhances its elegance, this timepiece intricately combines style and innovation. With the Tambour Spin Time Air Vivienne, Louis Vuitton celebrates the tradition and creativity of watchmaking, transforming telling time into a thrilling experience with its innovative visual approach.
