Four limited edition shoes have arrived as part of the "Selected Edition" Made in U.K. collection, produced at New Balance's UK factory. They are on sale from May 8th at New Balance Harajuku and the official online store (https://shop.newbalance.jp/shop/).

In the past, the New Balance UK factory only gave the name "Selected Edition" to a small number of its most iconic shoes as a sign of exceptional products. This "Selected Edition" name, which was discontinued as the Made in U.K. collection expanded, has now been revived.



Four limited edition shoe models will be released: the newly released "770" based on the concept of "What if we reconstructed a classic model from the past and incorporated it into a fresh, unexpected, yet familiar design?"; the "670," a standard model manufactured in a UK factory; the "1591," which combines the 1500 upper with the 991 sole unit; and the "991.5," which combines the 991 upper with the 1500 sole.

"770"

A new design that combines details from various Made in the U.K. shoes. The sole uses the sole unit of the "770" running shoe, and the upper combines details from New Balance's signature models, such as the "1500," "991," "575," and "577."

The holes found throughout the upper are anchor points used in the shoe manufacturing process. While this element is usually hidden, it's incorporated into this model's design. A card detailing which model each upper element was inspired by is included with the shoe, so be sure to check it out.

"670"

The "670" blends leather, pigskin, nubuck, textured suede, synthetics, and mesh, with over 35% of the upper made from factory surplus materials. Featuring a C-CAP midsole for comfortable fit and support, and a Vibram® sole for superior traction.

"1591"

Color: SPK (NAVY/GRAY), Width/Size: D/25.0-29.0cm
The "1591" combines the iconic "1500" upper with the popular "991" sole unit. The midsole, made with shock-absorbing material ABZORB, provides excellent cushioning and all-day comfort.

In addition, the upper material of this model, made from a mix of materials such as nubuck, leather, pigskin, mesh, and synthetics, is made from over 74% surplus materials.

"991.5"

"991.5" (¥35,200 including tax)
Color: SPK (GRAY/BLUE), Width/Size: D/25.0-29.0cm
The "991.5" features the iconic "1500" sole unit on the popular "991" upper. The ENCAP cushioning system provides excellent cushioning, stability, and a comfortable fit. Additionally, over 26% of the upper material is made from waste material.
