Corona Extra, the Mexican imported beer beloved for its lime-infused bottle, is opening a summer-only resort lounge, "CORONA SUNSETS BEACH OKINAWA," on Okinawa's beaches for a limited time until September 30th. The resort is set at Chura SUN Beach, nicknamed "Paradise Beach" for its endless, emerald-green ocean. Known as the shortest beach from Naha Airport, it's easily accessible, taking just 15 minutes by car. The lounge is also the venue for the two-day music festival, "CORONA SUNSETS MUSIC FESTIVAL," scheduled for September 12th and 13th. For three months, including before and after the festival, you can enjoy the beautiful ocean and sunset views and music with a Corona in hand, fully immersing yourself in the true essence of summer.
This lounge consists of two venues: the ROOF TOP BAR, which offers a great view, and the BEACH BAR, which faces the white sandy beach. Both venues are decorated with a wooden deck and are dotted with fluffy white sofas, creating a luxurious atmosphere. The recommended spot in the lounge is the white beach beds lined up in the BEACH BAR. We recommend lying down here and enjoying the wonderful moment of listening to the sound of the waves while gazing at the vast blue sky.
A Corona Extra with fresh lime is a must-have drink to enhance your relaxing time in the lounge. This basic style allows you to simply enjoy the refreshing feeling of Corona flowing from the bottle. The lounge also offers six original beer cocktails using Corona. The lineup includes summery drinks like the "Corona Mojito," made with a generous amount of fresh mint; the "Corona Sunset," made by mixing Corona with mango juice; and the "Corona Red Chili," made by mixing tequila infused with jalapeños with tomato juice and adding a Corona (available in two levels of heat). Other refreshing drinks include the "Corona Shandy," made with ginger ale, and the "Corona Sunrise," made with grapefruit juice. Soft drinks are also available for drivers. Two types of tacos with your choice of sauce and Mexican nachos are available, pairing perfectly with Coronas. Both drinks and food are priced at a reasonable 500 yen. Another limited-edition drink, the "Coronarita," will be available during the event. This bold frozen drink, served in a special jar filled with crushed ice flavored with liqueur and fruit, topped with a Corona bottle, is sure to lift your spirits. Its emerald green color, reminiscent of the "Chura Sun Beach" cocktail, will lift your spirits. The opening ceremony, held prior to the first day of the event, was attended by Kenichi Yano, CEO of Molson Coors Japan, the distributor of Corona in Japan; Thun of Anheuser-Busch InBev, which owns Corona; and Haruki Yoshiho, Mayor of Tomigusuku City, where Chura SUN Beach is located. Yano explained that the three keywords for Corona are "sunset, music, and beach," and spoke of his enthusiasm for the event. The subsequent launch party featured DJs such as Naoki Serizawa, who livened up the venue. The aforementioned festival, which brings to Japan the first time the Mexican music event "CORONA SUNSETS MUSIC FESTIVAL" has been held. As an international event that has previously been held in New York and other cities, it's a must-see for music lovers. In addition, to coincide with the launch of its lounge in Okinawa, Corona is planning to open a pop-up bar in Harajuku, Tokyo, from July 20th to September 23rd, where visitors can experience the world of Okinawa. We hope you will experience this series of campaigns produced by Corona, "Find Your Beach," in Okinawa and Harajuku.
