EDC (Electric Daisy Carnival), the world's largest electronic dance music (EDM) festival, originating from Los Angeles, USA, will make its Asian debut next July. It has been announced that the festival will be held in Tokyo for the first time, titled "EDC JAPAN 2016." The EDM festival, known for its dynamic displays including amusement park rides, fireworks, and costumed performers, has previously been held in Las Vegas, New York, and Orlando, as well as Puerto Rico and Mexico, primarily in North and Central America, drawing approximately one million attendees annually. EDC LAS VEGAS 2015, held in Las Vegas over three days in June, featured over 200 DJs on eight stages. Top international DJs such as Calvin Harris, Hardwell, and Avicii captivated an audience of over 400,000. EDC JAPAN 2016, the first of its kind to be held in Asia, is sure to be the ultimate carnival of light and sound, attracting many participants from Japan and abroad.
