Rolf Benz was founded in 1964 by Rolf Benz in Nagold, southern Germany. The brand first attracted attention with the introduction of the world's first corner sofa, and has since become a leading German luxury furniture brand, offering timeless designs that suit the lifestyles of the times, the utmost comfort, and the highest quality "Made in Germany" furniture.

We are pleased to announce the launch of "Rolf Benz YOKO," Rolf Benz's first outdoor series. The design was created by French designer Toan Nguyen, who has collaborated with numerous brands, including interior designers for fashion brands such as Fendi Casa, Bugatti Home, and Ron Herman.

"Rolf Benz YOKO" is named after the Japanese word for sun, "yokou" (sun), and expresses the comfort of the sun and the "relaxation" that can be felt in both the city and the countryside. It beautifully blends sophisticated design and practicality, mixing a variety of tastes: the clean lines typical of German design, the light touch of France and Italy, and the spirit of Japanese Zen. With the launch of the outdoor series "Rolf Benz YOKO," you can now experience the comfort that Rolf Benz is known for, outdoors, which until now could only be experienced indoors. Products are scheduled to arrive in Japan next spring. We hope you will look forward to it.

[Product Overview]
- This new outdoor series includes sofas, armchairs, chairs and tables.
- All upholstery is outdoor-grade and available in a colour collection that matches the colour of the frame. You can use the three-dimensional fibre Bouclés or combine upholstery for the base and cushions to your liking. All upholstery is removable and washable at 30°C.
- The tops for the sofa, dining table and coffee table blend naturally into the RolfBenzYOKO and the surrounding space. Four material options are available for the tops.

Designed by Toan Nguyen


After graduating from the Industrial Design Department of the École Nationale Supérieure des Design (ENSCI) in Paris, France's top design school, which was founded in 1982 with the support of Jean Prouvé and Charlotte Perriand, Toan Nguyen worked in Barcelona, Spain with Alberto Lievore before moving to Milan in 1996, where he worked as a designer under Antonio Citterio for 10 years from 1998. Since 2004, they have been partners, collaborating on numerous collections for brands such as Alfa Romeo, Artemide, B&B Italia, Brionvega, Flos, Toshiba, and Vitra.

In 2009, he established his own studio in Milan and has since collaborated successfully with international brands in Europe, North America, and Asia, showcasing high quality and exceptional craftsmanship. His creativity has been recognized by renowned brands such as Fendi Casa, Bugatti Home, and Ron Herman, and many of his works have won prestigious international awards.
