adidas by Rick Owens, a collaboration between adidas and Rick Owens, unveiled its Spring/Summer 2016 collection based on the iconic Rick Owens Runner during Paris Men's Fashion Week in June. The collection features three models: the Cargo Sandal and the Clog, two shoes based on the silhouette of the Rick Owens Runner, the collaboration's signature model, as well as the SS Ripple Boots, an evolution of the Rick Owens Runner. Rick Owens proposed to adidas the theme for this season: creating a comfortable, technical gladiator sandal with cutouts. The Cargo Sandals combine Rick Owens' signature cool and distinctive outsole with thickly padded neoprene and nylon for a technical look. Available in green, black, and black and white. Meanwhile, the open-back Clogs offer the comfort of the Cargo Sandals and a gladiator-esque style. Like the Cargo Sandals, they feature a cool outsole and a neoprene and nylon mix of materials. Available in black and black and white. The SS Ripple Boots combine the platform of Adidas' most iconic shoe, the SS, with the Ripple sole. Rick Owens' unique, modern "laydown pattern" enhances the fit, creating elegant gathers around the ankle when worn. Available in dark dust, mustard, and black, all crafted from stretch suede. The release is scheduled for mid-February 2016. All models will be available in both men's and women's sizes.
