Handcrafted items from all over Japan gathered together! "Tokyo Crafts Month 2016" kicks off, where you can explore shops in Tokyo with a map in hand

A total of 38 craft shops in Tokyo will be holding a joint project called "Tokyo Craft Month" from April 23rd to May 22nd.

The project involves participating craft shops in Tokyo holding special exhibitions and events featuring their favorite artists during the period. During the period, the latest version of the "TOKYO CRAFT MAP 2016" map will be distributed, introducing a wide range of shops by area in Tokyo, from long-established craft shops to lifestyle shops and stores that convey tradition to the modern age with a unique sensibility. Visitors will be able to use the map to experience a variety of handmade products from all over Japan. This year, in its second year, the participating artists are Style-Hug Gallery, shizen, LT shop, Beniya Folk Crafts Store, VA-VA CLOTHING & VARIETY, BLOOM & BRANCH AOYAMA, Kagure, LANTIKI centraaaaal, Utsuwa Kenshin, yuyujin, CLASKA Gallery & Shop “DO”, PARTY, Craft Utensils and Tools SML, RED CLOVER Nakameguro, Masuku Dyeing and Weaving Research Institute Nakameguro, Sora, Lion Pottery, Gallery St. Ives, MIGRATORY, monsen, Utensils and Tools Tsumikusa, MARKUS, Vada antiques, zakka Earthen Memory, Mono Mono, SyuRo, Kamawanu Asakusa, watari, Living Tools Yanaka Matsunoya, TSUGIKI, classic, Kumimu Tokyo, Ginza A total of 38 stores will participate, including Takumi, COOPSTAND, Bingoya, jokogumo, Ontayaki Sonomono, and knulpAA.
