On April 15th, Y-3 released its new sports-focused capsule collection, "Y-3 SPORT." Unlike its existing casual line, this collection features lightweight materials and high-performance adidas fabrics and technologies, combined with Y-3's innovative fashion ideas.

Tops incorporate adidas's heat mapping research and laser-processed ventilation technology with lightweight, bonded seams. Footwear includes Primeknit sock-style booties featuring the new "BOOST" foam material.

The "Airflow Breaker Jacket," available for both men and women, features open seams and reinforced bonding technology for full coverage. Made from lightweight, water-resistant fabric, it weighs just 38 grams. Its stretchy design allows for 360-degree ventilation for a comfortable fit. The men's merino wool T-shirt utilizes wool's natural antibacterial properties and also provides moisture management by blending polyester yarn with wool. The women's collection features a circular knit, a technique not often used in sportswear, resulting in an elegant fine-knit top with bonded stitching. Yohji Yamamoto commented, "At the core of Y-3 is the gene for 'sports.' Sports are the essence of this brand, its source of inspiration, and the reason I proposed to Adidas about 15 years ago that we do something together. This new line will add a new chapter to our shared 15-year history." Items are available at Y-3 stores in Japan, on Y-3 ZOZOTOWN, and the brand's online shopping site. To celebrate the collection's debut, a short film has also been released in collaboration with British fashion magazine i-D and film director Nathalie Canguilhem.
