The Tambour case, carved from a single piece of metal, features a unique shape inspired by a trapezoidal drum, with the case back slightly larger than the dial. Practical horns seamlessly connect the case to the strap, and the 12 letters "L-O-U-I-S-V-U-I-T-T-O-N" appear on the side of the case like hour markers. In just 20 years, the Tambour has become an instantly recognizable icon of the Maison. Like any great design, the Tambour case is timeless, evolving over time. Over the past 19 years, the Tambour has been featured in a variety of designs, from spectacular high jewelry watches to the highly sought-after Tambour Horizon connected watch, while also spawning a number of pinnacle complication models, including the 2020 Tambour Curve Flying Tourbillon Poinçon de Genève.

Challenging the codes of more practical timepieces, the Tambour Street Diver never compromises on underwater functionality, creating a watch that complements both traditional diving and everyday wear. The Tambour Street Diver's sporty appeal extends beyond its outward appearance. From its screw-down crown and 100m water resistance to the Super-LumiNova-coated dial and unidirectional rotating inner bezel—every small detail attests to the functional practicality of this Swiss-made watch, a testament to the finest craftsmanship. The diving scale is located on a rotating bezel (the sloping outer edge of the dial) beneath the sapphire crystal. The benefit of this internal rotating bezel is twofold. First, it keeps the top of the case clean and minimal, consistent with the aesthetic of all Tambour watches. Second, the gently sloping flange naturally draws the eye to the center of the dial, giving it depth and power. The internal diving bezel is set with a contrasting crown at 1:30. This crown features a diver's silhouette to distinguish it from the winding crown at 3 o'clock. Using the unique and original "synchronizing V" concept, the "V" on the diving scale is rotated and aligned with the matching "V" on the tip of the minute hand to form an "X," signifying the start of a dive and the beginning of a new adventure. The time spent underwater can also be read from the internal bezel; the first 15 minutes are highlighted with vibrant, color-blocked graduations.
