Lacoste and Polaroid team up for a colorful collection featuring a crocodile logo posing against a rainbow background.

Mar 15, 2021

French premium lifestyle brand LACOSTE has released a collection in collaboration with Polaroid. The colorful collection features the crocodile logo posing against a rainbow background, and will be available in stores from March 18th. This season's LACOSTE is colorful and positive, just like Polaroid's coloring. The key word is "unfiltered primary colors," with bold close-ups and the open feeling of wide-angle photography as the key points. His current style is to take a different perspective, give his all from the start of everything, and live each moment to the fullest. This collection will help you forget the negativity around you, make a fresh start, and change your mindset so that you can make new memories.

An uplifting collaboration

For over 70 years, Polaroid has been synonymous with instant film and cameras, beloved not only by enthusiasts but also by a wide range of casual hobbies around the world. The unique gloss of instant film and the vibrant, warm colors captured on it are etched in countless memories for many.

For Spring 2021, Lacoste delves deeper into this legendary, colorful masterpiece. Inspired by Polaroid's famous rainbow logo, the first instant color film developed in 1963, the collection features a rainbow color palette of blue, green, yellow, orange, and red, creating a diverse lineup of men's and women's apparel, accessories, and shoes. Also not to be missed is the limited-edition Polaroid 600 instant camera, featuring the Lacoste crocodile logo.

LACOSTE LIVE also offers collaboration items, including colorful oversized polo shirts, hoodies, t-shirts, and track pants, all inspired by the street-style, retro image of Lacoste.

Live in the Moment

For this campaign, Marseille-based artist Simon Schmitt captured countless images of dancers and skaters using natural light and flashlight, each frame stitched together to create intricate movements. Unifying the colors of the Polaroid rainbow with Lacoste collection items, each shot is a celebration of joy, boldness, and freedom.

“LACOSTE X POLAROID” will be available at Lacoste stores nationwide and the Lacoste online store (www.lacoste.jp) from March 18, 2021.

Today, with analog instant photography at its core, Polaroid has become a beloved brand known around the world for 82 years. With a new vision to unify the entire product portfolio under one name, Polaroid, and become a consistent global brand, the company will continue to create products that connect people in meaningful and personal ways.
