Onitsuka Tiger, a Japanese fashion brand, offers a contemporary collection that blends fashion and sport, heritage and innovation.

This model, overseen by the brand's creative director, Andrea Pompilio, takes design inspiration from archive models from the 1970s. Available now are the low-cut "ACROMOUNT," a model that combines vintage-style fabric and leather, and the mid-cut "ACROMOUNT MT," with its beautiful modern form.

The sole, which was characteristic of track spikes at the time, was thin in the forefoot and had volume from the midfoot, but the design has been updated to suit modern lifestyles with a combination of lightweight sponge and rubber, and the large Onitsuka Tiger stripe adds an accent to the classic design.

Also available is the "ACROMOUNT KNIT," which combines a knit upper and sole that softly envelops the foot. The line on the upper side is a line that was used on training jackets in the 1970s, and Andrea Pompilio has given it a modern reinterpretation, resulting in a shoe that combines elements of heritage and fashion.

"ACROMOUNT," "ACROMOUNT MT," and "ACROMOUNT KNIT" have been available in select stores and online since March 10, 2021.

Born in Italy. Raised in an environment where his father was an architect, his mother a painter, and his grandmother ran a boutique, he dreamed of becoming a fashion designer from an early age. He studied fashion at the University of Fine Arts in Pesaro and the Marangoni Institute in Milan, and after gaining experience at famous brands, he launched his signature brand in the fall/winter of 2011. After collaborating with Onitsuka Tiger, he was appointed creative director, a position he holds to this day.
