The store's name means "Letters from Kobe" in French. La Lettre de Kobe by NAGASAWA, a new store developed by a long-established Kobe stationery store with a 131-year history, opened its first store on September 20th at the Kobe International Conference Center SOL (8-1-6 Miyuki-dori, Chuo-ku, Kobe).
As the name suggests, this stationery store, named with the desire to provide "time to write letters and a lifestyle with peace of mind," is themed around letters and travel. The store carries everything you need for letter-writing, from writing instruments like pens and ink to notebooks, stationery, and sealing wax, as well as desk accessories. Aimed at women in their 30s, the store carefully selects products from around the world with a focus on design and quality, all of which are elegant and tasteful, perfectly reflecting the image of the city of Kobe.
For example, the completely handmade glass pens, imported directly from Italy, are by Bortoletti. This elegant and beautiful piece features a body made of rosewood and Venetian glass, and an intricately engraved neck.
The original color ink series "Kobe INK Monogatari," named after Kobe city places, including "Rokko Green," "Motomachi Rouge," "Kitano Ijinkan Red," "Kyukyoryuchi Sepia," and "Suma Kaihin Blue," has been a popular product since its release. The color variations, chosen from Kobe's beautiful cityscape and nature, have been expanded to include three SOL-exclusive colors commemorating the first store opening, bringing the total to 46 colors. Starting September 28th, a pink ink inspired by Renoir's works will also be released to commemorate the "Pushkin Museum Exhibition" being held at Kobe City Museum.
