Rock musician Bryan Ferry was born on September 26, 1945, in Sunderland, England. He began his career as a band lead singer in 1963. He studied art under pop art pioneer Richard Hamilton during his university years. After moving to London, he worked various jobs while writing songs. He formed the rock band Roxy Music in 1971 and released his debut album "Roxy Music" the following year. He began his solo career in 1973, releasing "Foolish Love," an album of covers of songs by Bob Dylan, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, and others, which garnered attention. He continued to be active as a solo artist even after Roxy Music disbanded in 1975. His eighth album, "Avalon," released in 1982, was his final original work and is considered the pinnacle of Bryan Ferry's aesthetic.

In Japan, songs from the album "Boys and Girls" were used in TV commercials, and songs from "In Your Mind" were used in a TV drama, becoming huge hits, and they also performed in Japan, becoming famous.

In 2010, Roxy Music came to Japan for the first time in nine years, performing at the Fuji Rock Festival. In 2011, they also appeared in advertisements and commercials for the fashion brand H&M, and at 68 years old, they are still active in a wide range of fields.
