Beauty advisor Chizu Saeki was born on June 23, 1943, in Shiga Prefecture.
She graduated from Seian Girls' High School (now Kyoto Sangyo University Senior High School) in 1962. After working as an office worker and then at beauty schools and beauty classes, she joined the French cosmetics manufacturer Guerlain in 1967. After moving to the United States and elsewhere, she became the international training manager for Parfums Christian Dior in 1982. While training beauty consultants, she worked with over 2,000 women a year, working to resolve their skin problems.
After retiring from the company in 2003, she opened the aesthetic salon Salon d'Or Ma Beaute. The following year, she produced the comprehensive beauty facility Beauty Tower in Yoyogi, Tokyo, and also founded the Chizu Saeki Chamology School, where aspiring beauty professionals and ordinary women can learn. She has also launched her own skincare brand "Chisbee", tea brand "Bihada Sabo", and towel and bath goods brand "Chizu Saeki".

Currently, while working as an esthetician, she appears in magazines and on TV to spread the appeal of "beauty" to many women around the world. She has also written many books, including "Don't Rely on Cosmetics" (Kodansha), "Beautiful Skin Revolution" (Kodansha), and "Beautiful Skin Food" (Kodansha), which have sold a total of over 5 million copies.
