MUDSNAIL, the brand behind ANREALAGE, launches its own brand. 3D floral pumps and more.

Jun 17, 2014

MUDSNAIL, the product interior design team behind the designs for ANREALAGE and keisuke kanda, has launched their first original brand. The collection includes shoes and accessories. Using their specialty 3D modeling technology, the team attempts to add depth to two-dimensional patterns. The collection includes wedge soles with an all-over three-dimensional floral pattern (two colors, ¥37,000 each), high-heeled pumps (three colors, ¥25,000 each), and pumps with clear heels featuring paisley and check patterns (two colors, ¥37,000 each). The items are currently on sale at KIEI Tokyo, an online fashion website for Japanese designer brands run by Drop, an early supporter of the original line. Mad Snail was founded in 2008. They have a deep connection with Anrealage, and have been involved in the design and production of collection items since the 2010-11 AW "WIDESHORTSLIMLONG" to the present, as well as the interior design of flagship stores. They use 3D modeling instead of 2D CAD for their designs. They also designed Keisuke Kanda's "Ribbon Warriors" plastic model kit for girls. In February 2014, they created a special exhibit for "rooms," one of Japan's largest joint exhibitions.
