The theme of SHIATZY CHEN's SS15 collection was "Sea Chronicles." Inspired by the energy of underwater creatures and beautiful ocean legends, images of the ocean were projected onto the runway backdrop.
Starting with black and white looks inspired by the Chinese geography book "Shan Hai Jing," the collection was expanded to include bright colors like emerald green, blue, pink, and orange, creating a dazzling world of seven colors. Venus, mermaids, jellyfish, seashells, and fish motifs were featured, accented with feminine details like embroidery and lace. Mesh materials and asymmetrical designs added modern elements. Traditional embroidery and designs inspired by Chinese loincloths evoked an oriental mood, showcasing the brand's unique style.
Bags were painted with colorful jellyfish and flowers, and shoes featured clear PVC uppers and straps for a summery look.
The venue was the Grand Palais in Paris. This marks the brand's 13th season at Paris Fashion Week, and the show was graced with appearances by model Miranda Kerr, Taiwanese actresses An Yixuan and Joe Chen, Chinese actress Sun Li, fashion bloggers Linda Lee, Frankie Hung, Li Hui, Chinese supermodel Hao, and Hong Kong supermodel Janice Man.
