JUNYA WATANABE COMME des GARÇONS's 2015 Spring/Summer collection was pop, cyber, and thoroughly fun. The theme was "Graphic March."
The patchwork technique used last season was once again employed this time. Layers of circles were connected, with the overlapping sections replaced with different fabrics in different colors. The pieces were joined together with vinyl and polyester organza, creating a light and airy atmosphere. One dress featured a series of circles and triangles folded like origami, all sewn together. The bright red, blue, and yellow hues and intricate details were reminiscent of the brand's past "Techno Couture" collections.
These patchworks appeared as prints in the second half of the show, including a trompe l'oeil top featuring the brand's classic rider's jacket. The unique circle sleeves, which appeared to have been forcibly sewn onto the top, were unique.
