Release Date:2021.02.27
Feb 15, 2021

The first collaboration sneaker between Nike and Readymade, the "NIKE x READYMADE Blazer MID," will be released on February 27th.

Readymade's creations upcycle vintage fabrics and other materials to give products new and unparalleled value. The "NIKE x READYMADE Blazer MID" being released this time reflects this Readymade creation philosophy in various aspects of its design.

Another key point is that the sole is made from 15% Nike Grind material (a material made from recycled scraps that would otherwise be waste from the manufacturing process, unsalable items, and old sneakers).

Other details typical of ready-made shoes include the striking shoelaces and the long, thin Swoosh logo that evokes the original design from 1971.

This collaboration was brought to life by Readymade designer Yuta Hosokawa's passion for basketball.

Hosokawa had this to say about the collaboration:

"I took a DIY approach and manually disassembled the Blazer from scratch, reconstructing it without destroying the Blazer's original DNA. I wanted to challenge myself to see how far I could take a classic shoe that symbolizes the sport of basketball, something I've loved since I was a child."

The "NIKE x READYMADE Blazer MID" will be available on the SNKRS app, at NIKELAB MA5, Dover Street Market Ginza (DSM GINZA), and at authorized Readymade retailers. For more product details, please visit the SNKRS app.
