On October 9th, EMPORIO ARMANI held a Tokyo performance as part of its music event, "EMPORIO ARMANI SOUNDS," which is currently being held in six countries around the world. The venue was IDOL in Minami-Aoyama, and Adam Bembridge, aka "KINDNESS," who came to Japan from the UK specifically for the event, took the stage. He gained attention in the indie dance scene even before his debut, and his debut album, "World, You Need A Change Of Mind," released in 2012 and co-produced by Philippe Zedar, who has worked with artists such as the Beastie Boys, Kanye West, The Rapture, and Phoenix, was hailed as one of the year's leading dance rock albums. This was Bembridge's first performance in Tokyo in a long time, having previously performed in Japan at Summer Sonic 2012. This time, they brought their highly anticipated second album, "Otherness," due for release on October 11th, and delivered a rousing performance accompanied by instrumental and vocal accompaniment.
Before and after the "Kindness" performance, the venue was heated up with DJ sets by Steve Mackey, a member of the Sheffield, UK rock band Pulp who is currently gaining attention for his DJ work. Entertainers and models such as Hyadain, Darenogare Akemi, and Mizusawa Allie, who came dressed to the nines, looked pleased with themselves.
In addition to Tokyo, the brand's music events have been held in Paris and Barcelona, with upcoming events planned for China and Brazil.
