On March 2nd, Vivienne Westwood Gold Label held its Fall/Winter 2013-14 collection show during Paris Fashion Week. The show was held at the Palais de Tokyo, a contemporary art venue. Vivienne, who has reflected on the history of the British Empire and incorporated it into her creations, said just before the show, "Art is very important to my life and my work. For this collection, I was inspired by illustrations in medieval manuscripts I came across by chance. I also focused on the influence of the Crusades, who brought Eastern culture and ideas to Britain at the time." The keywords for the show were "history," "ethnicity," "structure," and "flou (flowing silhouette)." The show began with a look featuring a voluminous cape made of blanket-like fabric. The capes appeared in a variety of variations, from elegant silk satin to coat-front and cape-back styles. The four white dresses had a girly design.

The tailored style featured a mannish silhouette with broad shoulders. Items such as a pinstripe collarless pantsuit, an oversized coat, and a black leather set evoked the image of powerful women of the 1980s.

The prints and jacquard knitwear incorporated a message calling for environmental protection. The prints were inspired by medieval pottery patterns. Remnants of the Crusaders' Eastern expeditions, which brought back cultures from Italy and the Arab world and had a major impact on British history, were expressed in gold brocade with an oriental mood and luxurious floral embroidery.

The second half of the show featured dresses that embodied Vivienne's elegance, an exquisite mix of classic and avant-garde. The show skillfully manipulated drapes and created beautiful silhouettes with three-dimensional cutting, including balloon dresses with puffy sleeves and skirts, sexy dresses covered in sequins, and bright red silk dresses with tulle skirts and bustier dresses.

For the finale, a model appeared wearing a pure white wedding dress. The meaning of the mimosa flower she was holding is "delicate heart."
