Louis Vuitton has launched the LV Trainer Upcycling men's shoe line from its Spring/Summer 2021 collection.
The new LV Trainer Upcycling collection for Spring/Summer 2021 is inspired by the original LV Trainer, unveiled at Men's Artistic Director Virgil Abloh's debut Spring/Summer 2019 show.
These striking and captivating designs—their creative and unique circular production process—was developed in Louis Vuitton's shoe atelier in Fiesso d'Artico, Italy, based on sustainable and upcycling initiatives to maximize the use of existing materials. This latest LV Trainer collection, along with the "upcycling ideology" devised by Virgil Abloh for his Spring/Summer 2021 collection, perfectly aligns with Louis Vuitton's unprecedented circular manufacturing efforts, further strengthening the sustainability of its products.

The new LV Trainer Upcycling is a reimagining of the original version released in 2019, resulting in a completely new product that is neither identical nor completely different. Crafted from supple calfskin and suede, it's updated with tie-dye colored laces. The low-top version comes in five vibrant new colors and features a padded collar. This iconic shoe features "LV Upcycling" edging on the heel, Louis Vuitton's signature on the side, Monogram Flowers on the sole, and a neon Louis Vuitton code tag on the right foot.
The meticulous craftsmanship that is unique to Louis Vuitton can be seen in every detail. From hand-marked notes on the leather regarding the centering and cutting of the shoes to designs where the ends of the stitching are left exposed, you can customize your shoes to your liking even after purchase.
