Pass the Baton features costume jewelry, carefully selecting 80s deadstock from the Accessory Museum's stockroom

Mar 26, 2013

PASS THE BATON, a select recycle shop in Omotesando Hills, will be hosting "The Costume Jewelry Gold Rush Collection by Accessory Museum," a costume jewelry exhibition, from March 28 to April 21. Motoko Tanaka, director of the Accessory Museum, a private museum specializing in costume jewelry, will be exhibiting carefully selected items from her stockroom. The selection centers around deadstock costume jewelry produced in the 1980s, featuring unique designs and craftsmanship that evoke the energy of the time. Following in her father's footsteps, who founded an accessories company, Tanaka has been designing costume jewelry for over 50 years. She opened the Accessory Museum in Meguro, Tokyo, in 2010, hoping for a place where visitors could view costume jewelry from each era, reflecting its unique character, precisely because it is discarded once trends have passed.
