KOSÉ Corporation will begin selling new products (three items, four varieties, priced from ¥3,200 to ¥5,000 excluding tax) from its high-prestige brand COSME DECORTE base makeup series at department stores and specialty cosmetics stores nationwide from March 16, 2021. To meet the diversifying needs for base makeup today, we are launching a new concealer palette, makeup base, and face powder. While all share the common thread of "base makeup that enhances the natural beauty of bare skin," we have expanded our lineup to meet individual needs, including lifestyles, desired skin finishes, and preferred textures. By broadening the range of base makeup options offered by COSME DECORTE, we aim to attract more new customers and increase the loyalty of existing ones.
The flagship product, the Tone Perfecting Palette, is a palette-type concealer that naturally covers a wide range of skin concerns, including blemishes, dark circles, and acne scars, by combining four shades with different textures and colors to suit various skin concerns. Previous concealers have had the problem of producing an unnatural finish the stronger the coverage. Based on our proprietary "KOS® Original Concealing Theory," which combines optical skin analysis and makeup, this new product features a color formula that naturally covers a variety of skin tone concerns. It blends seamlessly into the skin, evenly balancing out the complexion. In addition to the "Skin Fusion Powder" (*1), a common base makeup ingredient, we've also incorporated the newly developed pearlescent agent "Clear Skin Pearl" (*2), developed over the course of approximately four years, to achieve both translucence and coverage. The sheer veil instantly conceals pores, dullness, and uneven skin tone, while also adding a natural glow for a beautiful, bare-skinned finish. (*1) Titanium dioxide, iron oxide. (*2) A pearlescent agent jointly developed by KOS and Topy Industries, Ltd., with a coloring structure similar to that of bare skin, naturally covering skin concerns such as dark spots and dark circles.
