Among European picture books, the works of Swiss authors have gained popularity for the beauty of their lines and colors.

Ernst Kreidolf (1863-1956) is known for works such as "Flower Fairy Tales," which personify Alpine flowers, and became a pioneer of European picture book authors.

Hans Fischer (1909-1958), beloved by children around the world for works such as "Pitchy the Kitten," creates vibrant and dynamic illustrations with elegant lines.

Felix Hoffmann (1911-1975) is also beloved for his paintings that combine tenderness and rigor, such as "The Wolf and the Seven Little Goats," which he gave to his sick child.

This exhibition focuses on three of Switzerland's greatest masters, and, with the cooperation of the Small Picture Book Museum in Nagano Prefecture, will bring together approximately 150 precious original drawings and lithographs.
Familiar Grimm's fairy tales and Swiss legends... We will invite you into the charm of Swiss picture books, born from the country's beautiful climate and history, and the love of parents that is universally shared, and into their somewhat scary yet fun world.
