Clare Waight Keller's Chloe show took place at the Grand Palais in Paris on March 3rd. The collection's keyword was "ROMANTIC VOYAGER." The designer drew inspiration from Anne-France Dautheille, who traveled from Europe to the Middle East by motorcycle in the 1970s. Biker style, Middle Eastern kaftan dresses, and the attire of women from the 1970s were directly reflected in the collection. While sporty utility wear such as leather biker jackets and pants, biker-style leather jumpsuits, and leather safari jackets could be considered masculine, the collection offered a masculine-feminine contrast with delicate chiffon and lace blouses and feminine dresses sewn with countless stitches of cut chiffon.
However, even feminine items were paired with rugged boots, remaining faithful to the image of d'Hauteville's tomboyish woman. Chloe's signature items, such as tunic-style blanket ponchos and V-neck knit dresses, were still present. Middle Eastern ethnic items, such as knit dresses featuring various jacquard patterns, patchwork dresses with stamp prints, and kaftan dresses embroidered with buttons and colored threads, added a sense of weight and elegance to the collection.
