Artist Yuko Kanaya will release her first collection of works, "**YXICOOO**" (¥3,300), on November 21st. To commemorate the release, an exhibition will be held from November 14th to 30th.
Yuko Kanaya is an artist who creates colorful works using a variety of techniques, including painting, collage, animation, installation, embroidery, and collage. In 2014, she worked on Nike's new project "Tights of the Moment." She has also collaborated with various brands, including ETRO, and designed jackets for musicians such as Kaela Kimura and PUFFY.
The solo exhibition "YXICOOO" brings together works that Kanaya has produced over the past 10 years. In addition, the exhibition will feature original sketches in a rough style, as well as three-dimensional works that embody some of her works. It looks like you can enjoy an extraordinary experience, weaving together delicate decorative beauty, as if you have wandered into a church or an old castle.
In addition, on the 16th from 2pm there will be a workshop called "Workshop Connecting with the Power of Color - Coloring Edition." In this workshop, participants will color construction paper printed with Kanaya's designs using colored pencils they bring with them. The aim is to rediscover their own sense of color and to absorb the power of those colors. In addition, on the 30th there will be a talk event from 3pm, with guests Ito Keiji and Tsutsui Nana. Participation fees are 2,000 yen for the workshop and 1,000 yen for the talk event.
