Introducing an aroma diffuser that lets you enjoy the "purest scent ever"

Nov 19, 2014

Swiss design product brand Stader Form will release its aroma diffuser, "Lea," in Japan in mid-December. Described as "the aroma diffuser that delivers the purest fragrance ever," this product features an internationally patented function that releases essential oils without water. Its compact design, measuring 6cm in diameter, approximately 20cm in height, and weighing 298g, is also unique. It runs on rechargeable batteries, eliminating the need for an electrical outlet. In addition to a "continuous operation mode," the diffuser offers three other modes: an "interval mode" that alternates between 10 minutes of operation and 20 minutes of sleep at set intervals, and a "daylight mode" that uses a light sensor to automatically turn off when it gets dark. On a single charge, it can operate for approximately six days in continuous operation mode and approximately 20 days in interval mode (at room temperature of 20°C and humidity of 48%. This may vary depending on the aroma oil's composition).

It comes in four colors: white, black, berry, and metal, and is priced at 9,800 yen. It also comes with a USB cable that can be used to connect to a computer or other device. You can also use your favorite essential oils, and Stadlerform also offers original essential oils.

Stadlerform was founded by CEO Martin Stadler. In collaboration with product designers, the company has brought stylishly designed home appliances from Switzerland to the world. In Japan, fan heaters, humidifiers, and other products are already sold in major department stores.

"Following the success of Jasmin (an existing aroma diffuser), we decided to develop Lea in search of a product that would overcome its shortcomings. After 10 months, we created a revolutionary product that requires no cables and releases aroma directly from the oil. It has a small fan inside that breaks down the aroma into molecules and diffuses them into the air. Lea has already been released in Switzerland and Berlin and has been well received, so we have high hopes for the Japanese market. Aromatherapy is popular in Japan, and we think the slim, simple design will also be well received," says Stadler.
