The film "Mommy" will be released in Japan on April 25, 2015. This is the latest work by director Xavier Dolan, who made a stunning debut on the international film scene with "Mommy" and "The One With the Heart," followed by "Laurence Anyways" and "Tom at the Farm." Since his debut, all of his films have been entered in the world's three major film festivals, including the Cannes Film Festival and the Venice Film Festival. He has been called the young savior of the film industry and has become a darling of his generation.

Since his directorial debut with "Mommy" in 2009, Canadian director Xavier Dolan has had a string of films screened in the Cannes Film Festival's "Un Certain Regard" section. His 2013 film "Tom at the Farm" won the FIPRESCI Prize.

"Mommy" won the Special Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival and was highly praised by Jury President Jane Kampionen. The film has already attracted over one million viewers in France, where it was released in October, and has been a record-breaking hit in Canada, where box office receipts have topped $300 million. The story depicts the deep love and conflict between a mother and child, and has been highly praised by movie fans, who say it has "two tear-jerking climaxes."

The first run will be on April 25th at Shinjuku Musashinokan, Human Trust Cinema Yurakucho, YEBISU GARDEN CINEMA, and other theaters, before being released nationwide.
