Isetan Shinjuku is hosting a Christmas campaign called "Life is a Gift," focusing on the lives and culture of the Sami, an indigenous people of Europe. As part of this campaign, a special live performance will be held on December 12th at Cafe Lisieg on the 8th floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building. The live performance will feature the duo "Arvvas," consisting of Norwegian vocalist Sara Marielle Gaup, a singer of yoik, an unaccompanied improvisational song considered one of Europe's oldest forms of music, and Norwegian jazz bassist Steinar Raknes. Enjoy the wide-ranging musical world created by the duo, Sara and Steinar, who combine yoik with jazz. Fashion Headline will be holding a lottery to invite 15 pairs (30 people) of email newsletter subscribers to this music event. The application deadline is noon on November 26th. Winners will be notified by email on November 27th. An invitation postcard will also be sent by mail (expected to arrive around December 5th).
